Job purpose

Support and advise the business unit assigned tasks on all aspects with regards to health and safety. Establish, manage, and monitor standards, processes, communications, awareness, and systems to ensure all responsibilities associated with health and safety within ADNOC Logistics & Services are adhered to.

Key accountabilities

Compliance with effective performance monitoring and reporting of business units HSE work plans.

Monitor HSEQ events plans including HSE in-house training, campaigns, awareness, and workshops.

Contribute to the development and implementation of site HSE activities and participate in site HSE activities such as facilities inspection, site HSE inspection, site monitoring, and HSE meetings.

Issue work stoppage orders for unsafe acts and unsafe conditions.

Initiate incident notification for any accident.

Analyze and close out HSE observation cards received.

Review document submittals related to HSE such as risk assessments.

Monitor and update action tracking sheets for marine-associated inspections, accidents, site HSE inspections, and observation cards received.

Contribute to HSE promotional activities including participation in HSE campaigns, HSE award functions, and other HSE activities.

Assist in internal and external audits related to the business unit.

Report undesirable conditions at the site with recommendations for improvement to achieve HSE objectives.

Collect, analyze, and submit monthly HSE performance statistics of assigned business units including contractors.

Ensure awareness sessions are carried out pertaining to HSE topics, HSE flash messages, and lessons learned in assigned business units.

Verify compliance to applicable ADNOC standards for assigned business units.

Minimum requirements

Bachelor of Science in Engineering or equivalent.

6 years of HSE relevant experience, including at least 5 years in the offshore industry.

Professional certifications

Chief Officer’s Certificate of Competency or 2nd Engineer marine certification.

National Examination Board in Occupational Safety and Health (NEBOSH IGC).
