*Job Summary*

Z?gamok Mining, a subsidiary of Z?gamok Enterprises Inc., an Indigenous business fully owned by Sagamok Anishnawbek, provides a diverse range of services across multiple business segments including: underground and surface construction, shaft sinking, maintenance and development mining.

Z?gamok Mining is recruiting a hard-working, self-motivated individual with a proven record of safety and reliability to fill the position of Heavy-Duty Equipment Technician.

The Heavy-Duty Equipment Technician will be responsible for performing repairs, troubleshooting, adjusting, overhauling and maintaining mobile heavy-duty equipment on various job sites.

*Duties and Responsibilities*

  • Able to complete Preventative Maintenance (PM) and Services on mobile equipment in a scheduled timeframe
  • Responsible for diagnosing technical or mechanical problems and performing repairs on a variety of Underground and Surface mobile equipment
  • Test repaired equipment for proper performance and to ensure that work meets manufacturers' specifications
  • Complete work order forms and other required documentation for assigned jobs
  • Maintain communication and providing updates as needed
  • Actively communicate with the purchasing department to ensure required parts are ordered, including tracking orders and following up when required
  • Maintain organized and tidy work environment including required tools for the job
  • Wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times
  • Comply with all company policies and procedures
  • Work in accordance with all local health and safety laws and regulations
  • Other duties as assigned

*Qualifications*

  • Valid Class G Driver?s License
  • Certified Heavy Duty Equipment Technician (421A), Truck and Coach Technician (310T) or Automotive Service Technician (310S)
  • Minimum 3 years of recent, relevant experience
  • Exceptional attention to detail and organized
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work both independently with little supervision, and as part of a team
  • Self motivated attitude and the ability to use initiative
  • Ability to follow safe working procedures

Pay: $60.00-$65.00 per hour
