Job Title: Team Lead Full Stack Engineering (m/f/d) Location: Vienna, Austria (Hybrid) Employment Type: Full-time (38.5h) | Start Date: As soon as possible The Mission Wischool is not just an LMS; it is the "Tesla of Schools"—an AI-native Educational Operating System (EDOS). We are establishing our European R&D headquarters in Vienna and are looking for a Technical Lead to build the foundation of our platform. You will lead a squad of 5 engineers, architecting a system that integrates real-time video, AI-driven pedagogy, and complex administrative workflows. Your Responsibilities (R&D Focus) Technical Leadership: Architect the end-to-end solution using Laravel (PHP 8+) and React , ensuring scalability for high-concurrency usage (thousands of students simultaneously).

Team Management: Lead the hiring, mentoring, and sprint planning for the Frontend, Backend, and DevOps teams. Foster a culture of code quality (TDD, CI/CD) and psychological safety.

Innovation & Strategy: Translate pedagogical goals into technical specs. Lead the research into AI model integration (LLMs for personalized learning) and ensure our tech stack remains cutting-edge to meet FFG innovation criteria.

Security & Compliance: Oversee data privacy architectures (GDPR) and ensure role-based access control (RBAC) integrity.

Requirements Experience: 10+ years in software engineering, with 3+ years in a leadership role.

Tech Stack: Deep mastery of PHP/Laravel ecosystem and React/TypeScript .

Architecture: Proven experience designing RESTful APIs, microservices, and cloud-native architectures (AWS).

Mindset: You are a "Player-Coach"—willing to code critical paths while managing the team.

Language: Fluent English (German is a plus).

Salary Information Legal Disclaimer: We offer a competitive salary starting at € 75,000 gross per year (all-in). We are required by law to disclose the minimum salary according to the IT Collective Agreement (Level ST2/LT), which is approx. € 62,800 gross/year. Your actual salary will be significantly higher, depending on qualifications.
