Mechanical & Piping Designer

Our client, a global engineering and technology company, isseeking an experienced Senior Mechanical & Structural Designer tosupport the design of hyperscale modular data centre systems. Location: Singapore West Employment: Contract (1 year renewable/convertible) Industry: Data Centre / Modular Infrastructure Key Responsibilities Prepare and check engineering drawings, layouts, MTOs and detailed BOMs. Develop mechanical, piping and structural drawings including:

Equipment and general arrangement layouts Piping layouts and isometrics Structural and connection details Weld details Equipment mounting and pipe support details HVAC ducting and instrumentation layouts Platforms, walkways, ladders and support structures Develop accurate 3D models and engineering drawings. Review vendor drawings and technical documentation. Support Engineers in resolving design and installation issues. Coordinate outsourced engineering/design work where required. Ensure drawings comply with engineering and QA/QC standards. Requirements Technical Diploma/Certification in Mechanical, Piping, Structural Design or related discipline. Around 7 years' relevant mechanical/design experience . Strong experience in mechanical, piping and/or structural design. Experience with equipment fabrication, sheet metal, weldments or large assemblies is advantageous. Good understanding of piping layout, routing, components and supports. Proficient in SolidWorks and AutoCAD . Experience with Revit and Navisworks is advantageous. Able to work independently on detailed drawings and BOM/MTO preparation.
