Quantity Surveyor

The Quantity Surveyor is responsible for all quantity surveying functions and commercial aspects on construction projects. This includes ensuring the timely and accurate submission of payment claims, variations, loss & expense, and other contractual documentation in accordance with the contract’s requirements and timelines.
Key Responsibilities
- Review and interpretcontract agreements, specifications, drawings, and scope of work.
- Take off quantities,prepare Bills of Quantities (BOQ).
- Submit payment claims withsupporting documents; liaise with the construction team for accurate workprogress to support monthly claims.
- Prepare paymentrecommendations and calculate quantities for contractor, subcontractor, andvendor payments.
- Prepare detailed pricingbreakdowns; identify, value, and substantiate variations and loss & expenseclaims; prepare documentation for final account submissions.
- Liaise and communicateeffectively with Clients, Subcontractors, and Suppliers.
- Attend site meetings andconduct regular site visits as required.
- Perform any other ad hocduties assigned by the Reporting Manager or Project-in-Charge.
Requirement:
- Bachelor’s Degree inQuantity Surveying, Building, Construction, Civil Engineering, MaterialsEngineering, or a related field.
- Minimum 2 years of relevantworking experience in the construction industry. Experience with largeinfrastructure or LTA projects will be an advantage.
- Highly responsible,positive work attitude, able to work independently, meticulous, with strongattention to detail, and effective communication skills.
