Cloud Engineer

We are looking for a motivated engineer to take ownership of enterprise application platforms and support modern containerised environments. This role offers the opportunity to work with Kubernetes, OpenShift, AWS, IBM MQ, and enterprise-scale web applications.

Main Roles & Responsibilities

• Take ownership of application products and their operational aspects, including patching and application support.
• Handle and maintain enterprise container architecture (3-tier architecture).
• Participate in application architecture sessions with build teams and provide inputs on integration points such as Web Services, Government interfaces, IBM MQ, and SFTP.
• Design, implement, and administer enterprise Kubernetes platforms such as OpenShift and Cloud Foundation.
• Manage container provisioning, container images, repository lifecycle, and deployment of container-centric services.
• Maintain enterprise-scale web application and microservices architectures.
• Work with DevSecOps tooling and automation concepts.
• Define and maintain operational processes, including:
• Support Government-level security requirements, including system hardening, vulnerability scanning, and security best practices.
• Perform AWS administration activities.

Top 3 Must-Have Skills

• Experience designing and implementing enterprise container applications on Kubernetes/OpenShift orchestration platforms supporting containerised capabilities.
• Hands-on experience with IBM MQ and API Gateway, including administration, queue management, troubleshooting queues, queue managers, channels, and the ability to set up and operate MQ.
• Experience maintaining enterprise-scale online web architectures and microservices architectures.
