Staff Engineer (Production)

Process Improvement and Optimization

• Analyze current production processes and workflows to identify areas for improvement.
• Implement process optimization strategies to increase efficiency and reduce waste.
• Collaborate with design engineers to enhance production methods for new products.
• Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to ensure production targets are met.

Quality Assurance and Control

• Ensure that the production process meets quality standards and adheres to customer specifications.
• Develop and implement quality control measures to prevent defects.
• Conduct regular audits and inspections to assess product quality and identify areas for improvement.
• Collaborate with quality assurance teams to address any quality issues.

Equipment Management

• Oversee the installation, calibration, and maintenance of production machinery and equipment.
• Ensure that machinery is running optimally and is regularly maintained to avoid unplanned downtime.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to production equipment.
• Work closely with maintenance teams to ensure that preventative maintenance schedules are followed.

Cost Control and Resource Management

• Analyze resource usage (e.g., labor, raw materials, energy) and implement strategies to reduce costs without compromising quality.
• Work with the finance team to track production expenses and suggest cost-effective solutions.
• Remove waste from the processes
• Contribute to continuous improvement activities

Collaboration and Team Leadership

• Collaborate with other engineering teams, production workers, and management to achieve production goals.
• Provide technical support and training to production staff to improve performance and safety.
• Lead or participate in continuous improvement initiatives and problem-solving teams.

Documentation and Reporting

• Prepare and present regular reports on production performance, issues, and improvements.

Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree & Above Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field. At least 1-3 year of experience in manufacturing. Able to communicate in English Identify manufacturing needs for new products in development Design new systems and processes and provide facilities & methods to ensure the cost effective integration of new products or for the improvement of existing ones into manufacturing operations Ensure all product and system requirements are taken into account from the initial product conception to the finished result Design fixtures and tooling for assembly tasks Generating production documentation such as assembly instructions Reduce variability in manufacturing by providing standard work methods and work instructions Have knowledge in IATF16949, ISO9001, ISO14001 and Quality Management System.
