Duties to include
- Prepare and serve a variety of hot and cold beverages, including espresso-based drinks, teas, and specialty coffees.
- Deliver excellent customer service by greeting customers warmly and assisting with orders.
- Operate coffee machines, grinders, and other café equipment safely and efficiently.
- Maintain exceptional standards of cleanliness and hygiene throughout the café.
- Restock ingredients, cups, milk, pastries, and other supplies as required.
- Process customer orders accurately using the point-of-sale (POS) system.
- Handle cash and card transactions responsibly.
- Ensure food safety and health & safety procedures are followed at all times.
- Assist with opening and closing duties, including equipment cleaning and cash reconciliation.
- Work closely with team members to maintain efficient service during busy periods.
- Monitor product quality and report equipment issues promptly.
- Upsell menu items and promote seasonal beverages and special offers.
What you'll bring
- Previous experience as a Barista or in a café, coffee shop, or hospitality environment is preferred.
- Experience using commercial espresso machines and coffee grinders.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a high-volume environment.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Positive attitude with a proactive and team-oriented approach.
- Good organisational and time-management skills.
- Flexibility to work mornings, evenings, weekends, and public holidays as required.
