QUANTITY SURVEYOR

Assists the contract manager in providing elective support to project management teams by ensuring that the contracts are administered in accordance with contractual obligations and eìective cost management strategies;

• Carries out pre-tender activities in the award of trade packages by conducting site show round and ensuring the completeness of tender drawings/documents;
• Seeks clariícations with the respective consultants regarding discrepancies in the scope of work and drawings; replace all addendum drawings and BQ pages after clariícations;

• Seeks quotation from the respective trades and follows up on submission of quotations;
• Takes up quantity as per BQ and the detailed breakdown in the Excel sheet;

• Reviews tender pricing with contract manager; understands the project schedule, proít margin and goodwill discount; attends tender interviews; goes through tender reply with contract manager and prepares reply accordingly;
• Reviews letter of appointments, contract drawings and documents and to highlight any deviation from the tender;

• Attends project kick oì meetings and brief the scope of works with project team and management;
• Makes arrangements for insurance/factory licence/bond/pre-construction survey, ít out deposit if required;

• Follows up on making arrangements for sample submission;
• Negotiates with the respective supplier and appoints the specialist sub-contractors based on trade;

• Ensures the timely submission of VO cost on day to day or weekly basis and communicates with the project team; timely submission of monthly progress claims; ínal account closing;
• Submits the progress claim on monthly basis;

• Follows up eìectively on payment certiícate and payment with the clients;
• Certiíes sub-contractors claims based on site progress and quantity;

• Requests for AI/EI with the respective consultants;
• Attends internal and external project closure meetings with consultants;

• Submits the warranty based on contractual terms;
• Ensures PM’s submission of as built drawings and OM manual

• Follows through with the landlord on refund of ít out deposit
• Any other duties as may be assigned
