MARINE SURVEYOR

RINA Sweden is looking for one marine surveyor, to support RINA vessels trading Swedish ports and to do inspections of maritime equipment all over Sweden. RINA Sweden AB is a branch office of RINA SpA, a classification society with Head Office in Genova, Italy. Founded in 1861, RINA is one of the oldest classification societies in the world. RINA was a founding member of IACS in 1964, and a full IACS member since then.

Job description:

• Classification survey of ships in operation
• Inspection of maritime equipment
• Auditing service suppliers, manufacturers and work shops
• Maintain fluent communication and cooperation with clients and authorities
• Contribute to further development and growth of RINA

Qualifications, knowledge and skills:

• Formal qualifications in naval architecture or marine engineering
• Practical and theoretical knowledge of hull, machinery, materials, equipment and safety systems
• Minimum 3 years of professional experience as class surveyor, owner, superintendent, shipyard quality control inspector or chief engineer on board of merchant ships
• Ability to work in team and in an international environment
• Ability to manage conflicts and have a proactive customer focus
• Being fluent in both written and spoken English and Swedish language
• Being able to use laptop professionally
• Having a valid driving license
• Is prepared to travel frequently for professional activities
