The Role

You'll play a key role in supporting the training, development, supervision, and competency assessment of Financial Planners, Mortgage Advisers, and other regulated individuals. Working closely with Compliance, HR, and business leaders, you'll help ensure advisers operate within regulatory requirements while delivering excellent client outcomes. Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee and support the Training & Competence framework for regulated individuals.
  • Conduct observations, coaching sessions, development reviews, and competency assessments.
  • Identify training needs and deliver tailored development plans.
  • Maintain accurate T&C records and monitoring activities.
  • Support new and trainee advisers in achieving competent adviser status.
  • Work collaboratively with Compliance and leadership teams to promote best practice.
  • Monitor business activity and identify areas for improvement.
  • Produce reports and present findings and recommendations to stakeholders.
  • Deliver training both individually and in group settings.

About You

You'll have:

  • Previous experience in a Training & Competence, Supervision, Compliance, or Adviser Development role within Financial Services.
  • A strong understanding of FCA regulations, principles, and conduct requirements.
  • Level 4 Diploma in Regulated Financial Planning (DipPFS, DipFA, or equivalent).
  • Experience coaching, mentoring, and developing Financial Advisers.
  • Strong analytical, reporting, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Excellent communication and presentation abilities.
