We are recruiting on behalf of a growing and successful business based in Coventry for a Customer Co-ordinator to join their busy operations team. This is a varied role that offers the opportunity to work across customer service, order processing, logistics, and administration.

The Role

As a Customer Co-ordinator, you will play a key role in ensuring customers receive a first-class service from order placement through to delivery. You will be the first point of contact for customer enquiries and will work closely with internal teams, suppliers, warehouses, and logistics providers to ensure smooth day-to-day operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Processing customer orders accurately and efficiently
  • Liaising with warehouse teams regarding stock and deliveries
  • Communicating with customers regarding order updates, availability, and alternative product options
  • Acting as the first point of contact for customer enquiries via telephone and email
  • Managing customer complaints and resolving issues effectively
  • Arranging product returns and replacements where required
  • Providing Proof of Delivery documentation upon request
  • Amending customer orders and maintaining accurate records
  • Assisting customers with product selection and pricing enquiries
  • Developing and maintaining strong customer relationships
  • Managing incoming and outgoing container shipments
  • Working with shipping and logistics providers to coordinate deliveries
  • Preparing customs and export documentation
  • Creating commercial invoices, packing lists, and shipping paperwork
  • Inputting stock information and maintaining system records
  • Supporting stock checks and warehouse administration activities

About You

To be successful in this role, you'll have:

  • Previous experience within a customer service, sales support, operations, or administration role
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Good attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving
  • Experience working with Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, and Outlook
  • Confidence dealing with customers, suppliers, and internal stakeholders
  • The ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team

Desirable

  • Experience using ERP or supply chain systems such as Orderwise or SAP
  • Exposure to logistics, imports/exports, shipping, or warehouse operations
  • Knowledge of customs documentation and commercial invoicing
