Metal Fabrication Welder Location: Hanover, PA Job Type: Contract-to-Hire Shift: 1st Shift Starting Pay: From $22.00/hour (Higher pay available based on experience) Position Overview We are hiring a Metal Fabrication Welder to join a growing fabrication team. This position focuses on welding and finishing miscellaneous metal products, including stairs, railings, and other custom fabricated components. Candidates with strong work ethic, reliability, and a willingness to learn are encouraged to apply, even if they have limited experience.

Responsibilities Perform MIG welding on stairs, railings, and miscellaneous metal products.

Grind and finish welded components to meet quality standards.

Operate overhead cranes to safely move materials and completed assemblies.

Inspect welds and finished products to identify defects and verify quality.

Read and interpret blueprints, shop drawings, and technical documents.

Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area while following shop safety procedures.

Qualifications Experience with MIG welding.

Familiarity with a variety of welding equipment, techniques, and procedures.

Ability to read and interpret blueprints, fabrication drawings, and technical documents.

Basic math and geometry skills.

Able to work efficiently in a fast-paced production environment while meeting deadlines.

Dependable, self-motivated, and committed to producing quality work.

Strong work ethic with a positive attitude and willingness to learn.

Preferred Qualifications Professional welding certification.

Experience fabricating stair stringers, porches, or similar structural components.

Background working with miscellaneous metals.
