At Poka, we’re transforming how frontline teams operate, learn, and solve problems.

Our connected worker platform is purpose-built for manufacturing, empowering frontline workers to share knowledge, collaborate in real-time, and drive continuous improvement. Think of it as the missing digital link, bringing the human interface into the stack of the Smart Factory, generating the right data and insights that drive entirely new scales of process improvements.

We’re proud to support global leaders like Nestlé, Bosch, Mars, and Danone in their digital transformation journeys and as part of the IFS family, our reach and impact continue to grow globally.

Now we're looking for an Accounting Analyst who can read the story the numbers tell, question it, and make it better.

About the role

Reporting to the Assistant Controller, you'll play a hands-on role in the financial accounting of a growing technology company with clients around the world. Poka still operates with a start-up mindset, which means the work rewards people who are open-minded, autonomous, and resourceful. In return, you get a lot of freedom and real room to grow, both professionally and personally.

What you'll be doing

Accounts payable oversight: Review expense processing operations, making sure invoices, credit card transactions, and expense reports are recorded accurately and on time. Offer coaching and support to team members to promote quality and consistency in how things are done.

Month-end close: Support the monthly close process, including preparing and recording expense-related entries (prepaid expenses, accrued charges, fixed assets, etc.).

Cash management: Prepare weekly payment batches and review cash flow forecasts to ensure they're reliable and accurate.

Payroll and benefits support: Support our payroll specialist in managing payroll. Coordinate the setup and administration of benefits for European employees. Act as the point of contact between payroll providers and employees for payroll and benefits questions.

Employee experience and documentation: Guide employees through payroll and benefits platform processes. Create and maintain explanatory documents (e.g., Guru cards) to clarify payroll and benefits processes.

What you bring

A DEC or higher in Accounting or a related field

Advanced knowledge of French and English, both written and spoken

Excellent knowledge of Excel

Experience with project management (an asset)

Knowledge of Salesforce and FinancialForce (an asset)

You're a self-starter who works proactively and doesn't wait to be told what needs doing. You're ingenious and resourceful, with a strong analytical mind, and you bring professionalism and rigour to your work. And you're a team player who genuinely likes collaborating across departments.
