Senior System Engineer – Infrastructure

Job Description

The Company is seeking an experienced Senior System Engineer – Infrastructure to manage, maintain, and enhance its enterprise infrastructure environment.

The successful candidate will have strong hands-on experience in VMware, Hyper-V, Windows Server, Active Directory, Microsoft Azure, hybrid cloud infrastructure, backup and recovery, and infrastructure security .

The role will also be responsible for infrastructure projects, migrations, troubleshooting, performance optimization, and ensuring the reliability and availability of critical systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and maintain enterprise Windows Server environments across on-premises and Microsoft Azure infrastructure.
• Administer Active Directory, Group Policy, domain controllers, authentication, and identity services.
• Manage DNS, DHCP, RADIUS (NPS), Certificate Authority, and related infrastructure services.
• Manage and troubleshoot VMware and Hyper-V virtualization environments .
• Manage Microsoft Azure services, including Azure AD/Microsoft Entra ID, Azure VMs, Azure Backup, Azure Networking, Azure Monitor, and Azure Site Recovery.
• Design, implement, and support hybrid cloud integration between on-premises and Azure environments.
• Implement Azure policies, security controls, governance, access management, and MFA.
• Manage SAN storage and ensure infrastructure availability, capacity, and performance.
• Design and manage enterprise backup and recovery solutions, including NetBackup .
• Perform backup integrity checks and regular recovery testing.
• Monitor infrastructure performance, identify issues, conduct root-cause analysis, and implement corrective actions.
• Implement infrastructure security best practices and support vulnerability remediation.
• Lead infrastructure upgrades, migrations, deployments, and improvement projects.
• Coordinate with vendors and technology partners for infrastructure procurement and implementation.
• Develop PowerShell scripts and automation solutions to improve operational efficiency.
• Maintain infrastructure documentation, operational procedures, and technical standards.
• Provide technical guidance and support to junior engineers and other team members.

Requirements

• Diploma or Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline.
• At least 5 years of relevant experience in IT infrastructure, systems engineering, or system administration.
• Strong hands-on experience with VMware and Hyper-V .
• Strong experience with Windows Server, Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, and DHCP.
• Experience with Microsoft Azure and hybrid cloud environments.
• Experience with virtualization, SAN storage, backup, disaster recovery, and infrastructure monitoring.
• Knowledge of NetBackup or similar enterprise backup technologies.
• Good understanding of IT infrastructure security, access control, MFA, patching, and vulnerability management.
• PowerShell scripting and infrastructure automation experience will be advantageous.
• Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to independently manage infrastructure incidents and projects.
• Good communication and stakeholder management skills.
