Looking for Cooks who want more than just another line cook job. NeXT, in Stittsville is growing our culinary team and we're looking for two motivated cooks to join our team. These essential roles are to fill positions on our Saucier (Hot Line) station, and Garde Manger (Cold Line) station. We cook from scratch, work as a team, and take pride in every plate that leaves our pass. What You'll Be Doing

  • Learning our recipes, techniques, and standards from experienced chefs.
  • Producing consistent, high-quality food during dinner service and special events.
  • Keeping your station clean, organized, and service-ready.
  • Scratch cooking and modern techniques
  • High-quality à la carte service
  • Banquet execution
  • Station management
  • Time management and organization
  • Teamwork in a professional brigade

  • Have 2?3 years of professional kitchen experience.
  • Have graduated from culinary school (or have equivalent professional experience).

Total compensation averages $24?$26 per hour, made up of:

  • Base wage of $20?$23/hour (depending on experience), in addition to,
  • Quarterly gratuity sharing from our à la carte dining room
  • Additional gratuity from special events.

Hours range from 25?40 hours per week, depending on business levels.

NeXT is located in Stittsville, so reliable transportation is essential. We're currently hiring applicants who live in Ottawa, or the surrounding area. Unfortunately, we are unable to sponsor or support international work permits or visas. Dinner service runs 5:00 PM?9:00 PM, seven days a week, with additional banquet and event opportunities throughout the year.
