Electrical Technician – Diesel Generators
Location: Doha, Qatar. Years of Experience: 3+ years of relevant experience. Working Arrangement: on-site. Language Requirements: Fluency in English (written and spoken).
We are seeking an experienced Electrical Technician – Diesel Generators to support the maintenance and troubleshooting of diesel generator systems. The role requires hands-on experience with leading generator brands and strong technical knowledge of generator electrical components, control panels, controllers, and associated wiring systems.
Key Requirements
Minimum 3 years of experience in diesel generator maintenance and troubleshooting .
Hands-on experience working with diesel generator brands such as Cummins, Caterpillar, SDMO, Perkins , and other leading manufacturers.
Experience working with:
Alternators
ATS/AMF panels
Generator controllers
Battery chargers
Electrical wiring
Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and wiring diagrams .
ITI or Diploma in Electrical .
Preferred Qualifications
Knowledge of DSE, ComAp, PowerCommand, or SmartGen controllers .
Previous experience working in the GCC .
Valid driving license.
Key Responsibilities
Perform electrical maintenance and troubleshooting of diesel generator systems.
Diagnose and rectify electrical faults affecting generator operation.
Inspect, test, and troubleshoot alternators, ATS/AMF panels, controllers, battery chargers, and electrical wiring .
Perform maintenance and troubleshooting activities on generators from Cummins, Caterpillar, SDMO, Perkins , and other manufacturers.
Read and interpret electrical drawings and wiring diagrams during maintenance and troubleshooting activities.
Work with generator control systems and controllers, including DSE, ComAp, PowerCommand, and SmartGen , where applicable.
Support the reliable operation of diesel generator electrical systems through appropriate maintenance and fault diagnosis.
