Mechanical Maintenance Engineer

Monitor the mechanical condition and performance of production machinery to ensure continuous and reliable operation.

Perform and supervise preventive, predictive, and corrective mechanical maintenance according to the maintenance schedule.

Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical failures in production equipment, including gearboxes, bearings, shafts, pumps, hydraulic and pneumatic systems, conveyors, and other rotating equipment .

Respond to equipment breakdowns, identify faults, and ensure timely repairs to minimize production downtime.

Conduct root cause analysis (RCA) for recurring mechanical failures and implement corrective and preventive actions to improve equipment reliability.

Ensure all mechanical repairs, replacements, and modifications are performed according to machine specifications, technical drawings, and manufacturer recommendations .

Prepare and update preventive maintenance plans, maintenance checklists, and work orders for mechanical equipment.

Inspect critical machine components regularly and identify signs of wear, vibration, leakage, misalignment, overheating, or abnormal operation .

Coordinate with Production to schedule maintenance activities while minimizing disruption to manufacturing operations.

Identify critical mechanical spare parts, monitor their availability, and coordinate spare-part requirements with the warehouse and procurement teams.

Review spare-part consumption and recommend appropriate minimum/maximum stock levels for critical components.

Assign maintenance activities to technicians and follow up on work quality, completion time, and adherence to maintenance procedures.

Maintain accurate records of breakdowns, repairs, preventive maintenance activities, spare-parts usage, and equipment history.

Analyze maintenance data such as equipment downtime, breakdown frequency, MTBF, and MTTR and recommend improvement actions.

Participate in machinery installation, commissioning, modification, and mechanical improvement projects.

Develop and improve mechanical maintenance procedures and standard work instructions.

Prepare periodic maintenance reports highlighting equipment performance, recurring failures, downtime, completed maintenance activities, and recommended improvements.

Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.

1 -3 years of mechanical maintenance experience.

Excellent command of English language (speaking, reading and writing).

Very good command of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint & Outlook).

Very good verbal and written communications skills.

Detail-oriented and resourceful in completing assigned tasks.

Knowledge in IWS is a plus.

Background in Heavy industries is a plus.
