Logistics Supervisor

Key responsibilities

Supervise daily inbound, outbound, and export logistics operations.

Coordinate transportation, freight forwarding, customs clearance, and shipment execution.

Ensure timely delivery while maintaining required service levels.

Monitor logistics costs and identify cost-saving opportunities.

Prepare and review shipping and customs documentation for accuracy and compliance.

Track shipment status and proactively resolve operational issues and delays.

Coordinate with planning, sales, finance, and external logistics providers.

Ensure compliance with company policies and local/international logistics regulations.

Manage relationships and performance of transporters, freight forwarders, and customs brokers.

Monitor logistics KPIs and prepare periodic performance reports.

Ensure effective communication and coordination across the supply chain and the commercial team.

Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance logistics efficiency and customer service.

Identify logistics risks and implement corrective and preventive actions.

Maintain accurate logistics records and ensure document retention in accordance with company requirements.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in logistics management, supply chain management, or a related field.

3–5 years of experience in logistics operations (inbound and outbound).

Familiarity with health, safety, quality, and regulatory compliance requirements, refrigerated export, and subsidy file.

Experience in handling operational problem solving.

Proven track record of reducing operational costs and enhancing service levels.

Familiarity with KPIs and performance measurement.

MTS (NAFEZA).

Communication and interpersonal skills.

Computer skills (ERP / Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook).

Proficiency in English (written and spoken).
