German Language Tutor

Responsibilities: Teaching & Learning: Teach German language classes (A1–B2) in accordance with the approved curriculum. Prepare and deliver engaging, student-centred lessons. Develop lesson notes, presentations, and instructional materials where required. Prepare students for internationally recognized examinations such as Goethe-Zertifikat. Encourage active participation and consistent student progress.

Student Support: Monitor student performance and provide constructive feedback. Encourage students to progress to the next level upon course completion. Support student retention through effective teaching and engagement.

Requirements: Bachelor's degree in German, Linguistics, Education, or a related field. Must have completed NYSC.  Minimum of 2 years' experience teaching German as a foreign language. Demonstrable proficiency in the German language (minimum B2; C1 or higher preferred). Experience preparing students for Goethe-Zertifikat examinations is an added advantage. Excellent classroom management and communication skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, and virtual teaching platforms (e.g., Zoom, Microsoft Teams). Applicants residing within Yaba or its immediate environs will be given preference. Ability to teach evening classes (12:00 PM – 8:00 PM) is an added advantage.
