Epic Application Analyst Senior, MyChart

Accountabilities: The Epic Application Analyst Senior, MyChart will serve as a key technical and business partner responsible for analyzing, designing, implementing, and supporting Epic solutions. This role requires strong application knowledge, problem-solving abilities, and the ability to translate healthcare requirements into effective technology solutions.

Analyze business and clinical requirements to define system scope, objectives, and technical solutions within the Epic environment.

Design, configure, test, and maintain application functionality to support evolving business and user needs.

Lead and support software testing activities, including validation, troubleshooting, and defect resolution.

Translate user requirements into system specifications while ensuring alignment with technical standards and organizational goals.

Serve as a liaison between clinical teams, business stakeholders, IT teams, and external vendors.

Evaluate system impacts across multiple applications and recommend solutions that support integrated workflows.

Provide expert guidance on Epic capabilities, limitations, enhancements, and best practices.

Support application upgrades, implementations, conversions, operational planning, and ongoing maintenance activities.

Develop project plans, timelines, documentation, and resource estimates to successfully deliver technology initiatives.

Coordinate application development, reporting, forms, workflows, and system improvements while maintaining data integrity and availability.

Provide production support, issue resolution, and guidance to end users and team members.

Support process improvement initiatives by identifying opportunities for automation and workflow optimization.

Requirements:

The ideal candidate is an experienced Epic professional with a strong background in healthcare technology, application analysis, and business process improvement. They should be comfortable working independently while collaborating with clinical users, technical teams, and stakeholders across the organization.

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.

5+ years of experience working in IT or a clinical technology environment.

Experience with business process mapping, requirements analysis, acceptance testing, documentation, and application support.

Epic application experience with strong understanding of platforms, databases, interfaces, connectivity, and technical components.

Ability to obtain and maintain required Epic certifications within the required timeframe.

Strong project management skills with experience managing multiple priorities and deadlines.

Ability to translate business and user needs into technical specifications and actionable solutions.

Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with healthcare users, vendors, and technical professionals.

Experience with change management practices and technology implementation processes.

Ability to work independently, provide guidance to team members, and manage complex projects.
