About the Role

iCapital is seeking an Associate to join the Corporate Development and Strategy team. The individual will join a highly valued team responsible for evaluating, planning, and executing organic and inorganic strategic initiatives across the company. This role includes working directly with senior leadership and is pivotal to fostering the strategic direction and long-term growth of iCapital. Areas of engagement will include market assessments, strategic planning, M&A evaluation, due diligence, and other high-priority strategic initiatives.

This role requires someone who thrives in environments where intellectual curiosity, resourcefulness, and ownership are essential, with a strong interest in next-generation financial technology trends shaping the future of asset and wealth management. The ideal candidate is an exceptional communicator, operator, and problem solver who can conduct detailed analysis and share findings in well-constructed, focused deliverables including presentation.

Responsibilities

Conduct thorough, data-driven quantitative and qualitative analysis to support corporate development and strategy initiatives and recommendations.

Serve as a key team member driving end-to-end M&A and partnership processes, supporting deliverables and managing due diligence workstreams from start to finish, including working across teams to advance processes.

Build organized, dynamic forecast models leveraging diligence- and research-driven assumptions to support detailed valuation analyses.

Conduct well-documented sub-sector research including market trends, TAM analysis, growth trajectory, competitive landscape, strategic fit with iCapital, and potential M&A targets.

Help maintain detailed, well-organized tracking of industry insights, competitive intelligence, and thematic research to inform corporate strategy.

Facilitate the execution of post-acquisition integration activities across key business functions.

Prepare and present executive-ready deliverables, including business plans, financial analyses, and industry assessments, with clear, actionable insights.

Collaborate with internal stakeholders across business lines to develop, recommend and execute strategic initiatives supported by validated business and financial cases.

Assist with special projects supporting senior management's strategic goals and iCapital's overall business growth.

Qualifications

2 - 4 years of relevant experience in corporate development and strategy, investment banking, private equity, management consulting, corporate finance, or a similar strategic or analytical role

Previous experience in a fast-paced, performance-driven environment, preferably within financial technology, financial services, or a related industry

Strong intellectual interest in alternative investments and wealth management and a passion for contributing to the growth of an industry-defining company

Self-starter with a strong work ethic, integrity, and an all-in mentality, consistently going above and beyond expectations

Energetic, team-oriented, and highly organized, able to manage multiple complex projects and competing priorities simultaneously

Proven ability to thrive in fast-paced, high-pressure environments while meeting demanding deadlines

Exceptional ability to articulate opinions, write clear and concise strategic materials, and develop impactful presentations on investment opportunities and business recommendations

Highly collaborative, with a track record of working effectively across organizational lines and with key stakeholders

Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint, including expertise in financial modeling, valuation techniques, and building executive-level presentations. Experience utilizing AI-driven applications (i.e. Co-Pilot, ChatGPT, and Claude)

Experience working with alternative funds and familiar with fund structures, operations, and valuation methodologies is a plus

Benefits

The base salary range for this role is $120,000 to $135,000. iCapital offers a compensation package which includes salary, equity for all full-time employees, and an annual performance bonus. We believe the best ideas and innovation happen when we are together. Employees in this role will work in the office Monday-Thursday, with the flexibility to work remotely on Friday.
