Accounting and Financial Manager
Daily Finance and Accounting Operations 1.Manage and review daily accounting activities, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger entries, receipts, payments, and employee expense claims. 2.Check supporting documents, account coding, and approvals to ensure transactions are recorded accurately and promptly. 3.Review bank reconciliations, monitor cash balances, and follow up on outstanding receivables and payments. 4.Resolve accounting discrepancies and maintain complete, organized records. Month-End and Year-End Closing 1.Coordinate monthly, quarterly, and annual closing according to the company’s reporting timetable. 2.Prepare and review journal entries, accruals, prepayments, depreciation, and balance sheet reconciliations. 3.Ensure transactions are recorded in the correct period and investigate unusual balances. 4.Complete closing activities in the accounting system, including reconciliation between subledgers and the general ledger and period closure following approval. 5.Prepare financial statements and management reports, with clear explanations of significant variances. Audit and Compliance 1.Act as the main coordinator for external audits and support internal audit reviews. 2.Prepare audit schedules, supporting documents, and reconciliations; track requests and respond to auditors promptly. 3.Follow up on audit findings and implement agreed improvements. 4.Support compliance with applicable Thai accounting standards, tax requirements, and company policies. 5.Prepare or review tax-related information and coordinate timely filings with the responsible internal team or external service provider. Team Supervision and Communication 1.Allocate daily tasks, set priorities, and monitor the team’s progress against deadlines. 2.Review team members’ work and provide practical guidance, coaching, and feedback. 3.Communicate financial issues clearly to management and coordinate with other departments to resolve outstanding matters. 4.Work effectively with auditors, tax advisers, banks, customers, and suppliers. 5.Provide hands-on support during busy periods and maintain backup coverage for key tasks. Controls and Process Improvement 1.Maintain effective controls over payments, approvals, reconciliations, and accounting records. 2.Identify opportunities to simplify workflows, reduce manual work, and improve reporting accuracy. 3.Maintain accounting procedures and closing checklists. 4.Support cash flow forecasting, budgeting, and actual-versus-budget analysis. 5.Assist with accounting system improvements and troubleshooting.
Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting. Typically 4–6 years of relevant accounting or finance experience, including experience supervising staff or leading accounting activities. Hands-on experience with month-end and year-end closing and external audit coordination. Up-to-date accounting CPD records, with supporting certificates or evidence of completion of applicable annual requirements. Good knowledge of Thai accounting standards and taxation, including VAT and withholding tax. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience using an accounting system. Strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and the ability to manage competing deadlines. Strong communication skills in Thai; English & Chinese communication skills are an advantage. Ability to lead a team while remaining actively involved in daily operations. High standards of integrity and confidentiality.
