As leaders in property technology, Genea provides cloud-based physical security, submeter billing and on-demand HVAC solutions to over 1 million users across 39 countries. But Genea is more than just a workplace. We’re a mission-driven team that collaborates, innovates, and engineers the proptech solutions of tomorrow to solve the challenges of today. We pride ourselves on fostering an environment of transparency and authenticity, where you can be yourself — no suit or tie necessary. But don’t take our word for it. Our team members love our competitive benefits, including remote work options, comfortable work-life balance, paid time off (PTO), personal and family health insurance options, paid family leave, and development/training opportunities.

Job Overview:

Genea is looking for a skilled Salesforce Developer to own the buildout, optimization, and ongoing improvement of our Salesforce CRM environment. This role sits at the intersection of sales technology and systems architecture — you will design and build Salesforce solutions that power our go-to-market motion, AI agents that enhance our team and workflows, and create reliable API and webhook integrations across our tech stack. You will work closely with Sales Leadership, Business Operations, and Regional Sales Managers to translate field requirements into scalable, well-documented Salesforce solutions. This includes requirements translation, user stories, architecture, development, feature testing, functional testing, user testing, documentation, and release management.

Salesforce Development & Configuration

Design, develop, and deploy scalable Salesforce solutions including custom objects, flows, process automation, validation rules, page layouts, and AI agents

Build and maintain Apex classes, triggers, and Lightning Web Components (LWC) to support custom business logic

Own the Salesforce data model — manage schema, relationships, and field dependencies across Sales Cloud and any related clouds in use

Implement and maintain CPQ or quoting workflows to support Genea’s VAR channel sales process

Build and refine Salesforce reports, dashboards, and KPI views for Sales Leadership and Business Operations

Manage sandbox environments, release cycles, and deployment pipelines using Salesforce DX and version-controlled metadata

You will lead the integration of Agentforce and custom LLM-based solutions into our sales ecosystem, moving beyond standard CRM workflows into the era of the 'Agentic Enterprise.

API & Webhook Integrations

Design, build, and maintain REST/SOAP API integrations between Salesforce and Genea’s technology stack — including Workato, Avoma, Intercom, SAP, LearnUpon, DocuSign, and internal sales tools (Quote AI Engine, TCO Calculator, AI Spec Generator, Partner portal)

Develop and manage inbound/outbound Salesforce webhooks and platform events to enable real-time data sync across systems

Build Connected App configurations, OAuth flows, and Named Credentials for secure third-party API authentication

Troubleshoot integration failures, monitor API call volumes, and maintain error-handling and retry logic

Collaborate with Engineering to define and consume internal Genea APIs (access control, billing, HVAC) where CRM integration is required

Business Operations Support

Partner with Sales Leadership, Business Operations, and Regional Sales Managers to translate field requirements into Salesforce workflows and automation

Support pipeline management, lead routing, opportunity stage management, and forecasting configuration

Build and maintain user roles, profiles, permission sets, and sharing rules to enforce data security and access control

Participate in sprint planning and backlog grooming, providing technical estimates and breaking down requirements into deliverables

Document all configurations, integrations, and custom development to support maintainability and onboarding

Perform other related duties as assigned by management

Be a strategic advisor to the business team around salesforce best practices and anti-patterns

You will have full architectural ownership. We aren't looking for a coder to follow a spec; we are looking for a technical partner who will challenge our assumptions and own the long-term scalability of the platform.

Qualifications / Required

5+ years of hands-on Salesforce development experience (Sales Cloud required)

Proficient in Apex, Visualforce, Lightning Web Components (LWC), and SOQL/SOSL

Demonstrated experience building REST API integrations to/from Salesforce using Named Credentials, Connected Apps, and platform events

Strong understanding of Salesforce data model, governor limits, and deployment best practices

Experience with Salesforce Flow, Process Builder, and declarative automation tools

Deep experience in Decoupled Architecture . You should be comfortable moving logic out of Process Builders into a single-trigger framework or Flow-first design.

Familiarity with version control (Git) and Salesforce DX (SFDX) CLI

Salesforce Platform Developer I certification (or higher)

Strong written and verbal English communication skills; able to work effectively with a US-based team across time zones

Preferred

Salesforce Platform Developer II, Administrator, or Architect certifications

Experience integrating Salesforce with tools such as Workato, Avoma, Intercom, SAP, or similar enterprise/GTM platforms

Familiarity with OAuth 2.0, JWT authentication, and API security best practices

Experience with e-signature integrations (DocuSign) and Partner Relationship Management (PRM) configurations

Experience in a SaaS or proptech company; prior exposure to security, access control, or building systems is a plus

Exposure to CPQ tools (Salesforce CPQ or similar)

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related technical field
