WAITER (GENERAL)

Job Description The Waiter/ Waitress is responsible for ensuring customers have a positive experience at the restaurant by exhibiting excellent customer service. The Waiter/ Waitress is also responsible for welcoming and seating guests, taking guest orders, communicating them effectively to the kitchen and in addition, memorizing the menu and offering recommendations to upsell. Provide excellent customer services. Always strive towards best customer satisfaction. Greet customers and present menus. Take meal and beverage orders from customers and place these orders in the kitchen through the Cashier. Make menu recommendations and inform customers of any specials. Stay attentive to the needs of customers in the dining area. Deliver food from the kitchen to the guests. Ensure the food and beverage orders are made correctly by the kitchen staff. Check that customers are satisfied with their meal. Upsell when appropriate. Arrange table settings and maintain a tidy dining area. Keep tables clean and tidy at all times. Deliver checks and collect payments. Adhere to all relevant health and safety rules and regulations and all customer service guidelines. Perform shift duties like delivering racks of cups to the service station, rolling silverware, pre - bussing tables, wiping tables and removing debris and more.

Qualifications/Requirements: Proven work experience as a Waiter or Waitress

At least College level or vocational course graduate

Great interpersonal and communication skills

Active listening and attentive

Comfortable bending, climbing, reaching, stooping, and moving quickly

Working knowledge of cleaning and sanitation procedures

Knowledge and demonstrated practice of maintaining a clean and sanitary work station

Able to safely lift and/or move, using designated safety equipment, objects weighing up to 50lbs

Ability to remain productive in a high pressure environment
