POSITION SUMMARY:

The Finance Manager is responsible for all aspects of the accounting function and internal controls/procedures.

At the heart of the Finance Manager job is the ability to determine the best use of resources to achieve business objectives. He/she is expected to produce regular reports using financial data, and work collaboratively across the entire finance team.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Financial Leadership & Strategy

  • Provide strategic financial guidance to senior management to support business growth and long-term planning
  • Develop, implement, and maintain financial policies, procedures, and internal controls
  • Lead and mentor a small finance team, overseeing day-to-day operations and fostering a culture of excellence

Financial Planning & Analysis

  • Manage the budgeting and forecasting process, including annual budgets and rolling forecasts
  • Analyze financial data, trends, and KPIs to provide actionable insights and recommendations
  • Monitor cash flow, working capital, and overall financial performance

Accounting & Reporting

  • Oversee all aspects of the accounting function, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of financial records
  • Lead month-end and year-end closing activities, including preparation of financial and management reports
  • Respond to financial inquiries from regional finance teams and senior leadership

Compliance & Governance

  • Ensure compliance with statutory requirements, including SFRS and US GAAP
  • Review GST submissions and annual tax filings to IRAS
  • Support external audits and prepare statutory financial statements
  • Uphold corporate governance standards and continuously improve internal control frameworks

Process Improvement & Systems

  • Drive ad hoc finance transformation projects, including automation and reporting enhancements
  • Identify and implement improvements to financial processes, systems, and data integrity

EDUCATION (Qualifications obtained in the course of formal education and/or training)

Degree in Accountancy or ACCA/equivalent.

EXPERIENCE & KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED:

  • At least 4 years experience in a similar role.
  • Abreast of industry updates.

Financial Reporting- Ensures accurate and timely month-end and year-end reports for internal and external stakeholders Budgeting & Forecasting- Enables strategic planning and resource allocation aligned with business goals Taxation & Regulatory Compliance- Ensures adherence to IRAS, SFRS, and US GAAP standards Audit & Assurance- Supports statutory audits and strengthens internal controls Cash Flow Management- Maintains liquidity and supports operational efficiency

Future-Enabled Skills Data Analytics- Enhances financial insights and decision-making through trend analysis and predictive modeling Digital Literacy- Facilitates use of ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and automation tools for process efficiency Risk Management- Identifies financial risks and implements mitigation strategies Innovation & Process Improvement - Drives continuous improvement in finance operations and reporting accuracy
