Senior Backend Engineer (Java/Kotlin)

About the Project: For our Client, a global leader in the online entertainment industry (iGaming), we are seeking an experienced Engineer to join the team in building the heart of a platform that engages millions of users. This is not a typical "maintenance" project. You will join the User Experience & Loyalty Domain , where technology meets player psychology. You will be responsible for building advanced engines that drive user interactions – from real-time communication systems to complex bonus mechanisms and personalized loyalty programs. Your Role: Architecture & Development: Designing and building scalable, robust solutions in a microservice architecture (High-load / High-availability). End-to-End Ownership: Responsibility for the full software lifecycle – from concept to coding, deployment, and monitoring. Technical Impact: Actively participating in architectural discussions, challenging the status quo, and proposing new technologies to optimize business solutions. Scalability: Ensuring the IT ecosystem is scalable and ready for growing traffic and future market expansions. Collaboration: Working closely with operational units and other technical domains to ensure a seamless "Player Journey". Requirements (Must Haves): Experience: Minimum 5+ years of commercial experience in backend development (Java and/or Kotlin). Microservices: Deep practical knowledge of microservice architecture. Messaging: Experience working with messaging systems (e.g., Kafka ). Frameworks: Strong knowledge of the Spring ecosystem and JPA. Databases: Proficiency with relational databases (MySQL). Mindset: Proactive approach, focus on "Clean Code," and willingness to take ownership of your initiatives. Nice to haves: Experience with OpenAPI Experience with BigQuery Experience with Kubernetes

Daily tasks

• Build scalable, robust, and efficient solutions in our full-stack team and ensure continuous delivery in our microservice architecture.

Requirements
