We are seeking a Data Center Systems & Liquid Cooling Technician to support Research & Development data center environments in Redmond and Totem Lake.
This is a hands-on technical role supporting advanced server and lab environments where new technologies are built, tested, and validated before broader deployment. The position requires experience beyond traditional rack installation and structured cabling. The successful candidate will bring a strong background in systems administration, server hardware support, and/or liquid-cooling infrastructure and be able to contribute with limited ramp-up time.
Experience with rack-and-stack work, fiber, copper cabling, and limited-energy systems remains valuable, but these activities are not the primary focus of the position.
Responsibilities :
Support the installation, configuration, maintenance, and troubleshooting of physical and virtual server environments
Diagnose hardware, operating system, network connectivity, and infrastructure-related issues
Perform server provisioning, component replacement, firmware updates, system validation, and break/fix support
Install, inspect, maintain, and troubleshoot liquid-cooled server and rack infrastructure
Support cooling components such as coolant distribution units, manifolds, pumps, hoses, fittings, sensors, and related monitoring systems
Identify and respond to leaks, pressure or flow issues, temperature anomalies, and cooling-system alarms
Assist with testing new server, power, cooling, and infrastructure technologies in pre-production environments
Monitor system health and environmental conditions and escalate issues appropriately
Document system configurations, troubleshooting activity, maintenance, and completed work in ticketing systems such as Azure DevOps or an equivalent platform
Coordinate equipment deliveries, installations, moves, and lab consolidation activities
Install and maintain racks, cabinets, fiber, copper cabling, and limited-energy infrastructure as needed
Maintain accurate inventories of servers, components, cabling, tools, and cooling-system materials
Follow established safety, security, change-management, and operational procedures
Communicate status, technical findings, risks, and blockers clearly to project stakeholders
Operate or learn to operate material-handling equipment such as forklifts
Work Breakdown :
50% Systems, server hardware, and/or liquid-cooling support
30% Infrastructure installation, troubleshooting, and maintenance
10% Testing, validation, and deployment support
10% Documentation, coordination, and meetings
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent; technical or trade coursework preferred
5–7 years of experience supporting data center, server, systems, lab, or critical infrastructure environments
Strong professional experience in at least one of the following areas:
Systems administration and server support
Liquid-cooled data center or high-performance computing infrastructure
Ability to independently troubleshoot technical issues and contribute with limited training or ramp-up
Experience installing, maintaining, diagnosing, or repairing enterprise server hardware
Working knowledge of networking fundamentals, including IP connectivity, switches, cabling, and common connectivity issues
Experience documenting technical work through ticketing or work-management systems
Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and clear written and verbal communication
Familiarity with OSHA requirements and data center safety practices
Ability to lift up to 40 pounds and perform physically demanding work
Ability to work 100% onsite in Redmond and Totem Lake, Washington

Systems administration experience in Windows Server and/or Linux environments
Experience with server provisioning, operating system installation, firmware, BIOS, or hardware-management tools
Experience supporting liquid-cooled servers, direct-to-chip cooling, coolant distribution units, or similar thermal-management systems
Experience in Research & Development, lab, pre-production, high-performance computing, or hardware-validation environments
Familiarity with system and environmental monitoring tools
Experience troubleshooting fiber optic and copper network infrastructure
Experience with Azure DevOps or similar ticketing and work-tracking platforms
Forklift or material-handling equipment experience
Salary Range
At Blueprint, we strive to offer competitive pay that reflects the value of our team members. Compensation for this role is influenced by a variety of factors, including skills, education, responsibilities, experience, and geographic market.
For candidates based in Washington State, the anticipated salary range is $80,000 to $95,000 annually . Please note that we typically do not hire new employees at the top of the posted range. Actual starting pay will be determined based on experience, skills, and internal equity. The final salary and job title may vary depending on the selected candidate’s qualifications and could fall outside the stated range.
