About the Company

Our client is a fast-growing, UK-based SaaS company whose products sit at the heart of many B2B sales and marketing teams. They're scaling quickly, shipping daily, and looking for two technical leads who wants real ownership over how their customer-facing products are built.

The Opportunity

This is a technical leadership role for someone who wants to shape a product from first design conversation through to code running in production while staying close to the build the whole way. You'll move fluidly between hands-on delivery and architectural decision-making, working across a modern stack and deploying multiple times a day. If you want influence over how things are built, not just what gets built, this is worth a conversation.

What You'll Be Doing

• Partner with stakeholders on solution design, scoping and system architecture from the earliest conversations.
• De-risk uncertain areas of a design through spikes and proof-of-concepts before committing the team to a direction.
• Work with initiative managers to break ambitious ideas into deliverable epics and stories.
• Turn user stories into production code as a high-performing individual contributor and as lead developer and embedded architect within a small squad.
• Champion the quality, maintainability and operability of everything you and the team (fellow engineers and agentic agents) ship.
• Stay close to the product in production, supporting it and resolving issues as they arise.
• Shape ongoing design, architecture and implementation decisions as the platform evolves.

What We're Looking For

• 10+ years' full stack software development experience, with genuine technical leadership under your belt.
• 5+ years' fluency in JavaScript and TypeScript full stack, this is non-negotiable.
• Strong grasp of system design and domain modelling, with a commercial mindset behind every technical decision.
• A track record of clean code, SOLID principles and thoughtful design patterns.
• Broad full stack experience, ideally gained building large-scale SaaS platforms.
• Comfortable operating in a mature CI/CD environment, deploying continuously under a DevSecOps approach.
• Excellent interpersonal & collaboration skills, with confidence working directly with customers.
• An aptitude for problem-solving, with the appetite to pick up new tools and techniques fast.
• A forward-thinking approach to using AI to accelerate high-quality software delivery.
• Solid experience with automated testing and quality assurance practices.
• An understanding of building systems that hold up and perform at scale.
• A genuine enthusiasm for building secure systems and championing security best practice.
• A technical or computer science degree, or equivalent hands-on professional experience.

Useful:

• Exposure to NodeJS microservices, Vue, Redis, SQL Server or Snowflake.
• Experience deploying and operating services in AWS.
• A track record of driving high standards and pushing a team towards ever-higher levels of efficiency.
