We are looking for a Mid-Level Software Engineer to join an international technology company, working at the intersection of software engineering, cloud-native architecture, Data, and Artificial Intelligence. You will play an active role in developing backend and full-stack solutions, data pipelines, integrations, and AI-powered solutions within an international and highly technical environment. Responsibilities Design, build, and maintain scalable backend services and REST APIs using Python and Node.js/TypeScript;

Develop frontend interfaces and full-stack features;

Build and maintain data pipelines and ML-integrated workflows on Microsoft Azure;

Design, deploy, and operate AI Agents and MCP (Model Context Protocol) servers;

Develop cloud-native microservices and products with scalability and resilience in mind;

Build client-facing integrations with a strong focus on reliability, performance, and clear documentation;

Contribute to the design and maintenance of CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps;

Apply Domain-Driven Design (DDD) principles;

Actively participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies;

Design, develop, optimize, and maintain data architectures;

Design and maintain ingestion processes from multiple data sources;

Take ownership of solutions from design through deployment and ongoing maintenance.

Requirements Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field;

At least 3 years of professional experience as a Software Engineer, with a focus on backend and/or full-stack development;

Strong hands-on experience with Python and Node.js/TypeScript in production environments;

Practical experience with Microsoft Azure, including Azure Functions, App Services, and Azure DevOps;

Knowledge of cloud-native patterns, including microservices, Docker, Kubernetes, and API design;

Experience building or integrating data pipelines;

Experience working with Machine Learning frameworks or APIs;

Experience designing, deploying, or operating AI Agents and MCP servers, or a strong demonstrable interest in this area;

Experience implementing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines;

Knowledge of BDD and the ability to translate business requirements into verifiable software behaviour;

Experience working in Agile/Scrum teams;

Experience with Jira and Confluence;

Fluent English, both written and spoken.

Nice to Have Experience with Domain-Driven Design (DDD);

Stronger experience with Azure and cloud-native architectures;

Experience in projects involving AI, Machine Learning, or Intelligent Automation;

Experience working in international and multicultural environments;

Strong communication skills with both technical and business stakeholders.

Important Information Hybrid working model;

Location: Aveiro, Portugal;

Office presence required at least 2 days per week;

Full-time, permanent position;

Work within international engineering teams;

Fluent English is mandatory;

High level of autonomy and ownership across the full software development lifecycle.
