The Professional Services Junior Engineer is responsible for assisting with the deployment, installation, configuration, troubleshooting, and support of advanced technology solutions for customers nationwide. Supported technologies include network infrastructure, wireless LAN (WLAN) solutions, network security, and other enterprise technology systems.

This is an entry-level position designed for individuals looking to build a career in networking, wireless technologies, and professional services. The Junior Engineer will work closely with Senior Engineers to perform equipment staging, pre-configuration, onsite installations, troubleshooting, wireless site surveys, and customer support activities. This role offers significant opportunities for professional growth through hands-on experience, manufacturer training, and exposure to enterprise networking and wireless technologies.

Candidates with experience conducting wireless site surveys, Wi-Fi deployments, RF analysis, access point installations, or wireless troubleshooting are strongly encouraged to apply. Experience with Ekahau, Hamina, AirMagnet, Cisco Meraki, Aruba, Ruckus, or similar wireless technologies is a plus.

The position requires regular travel to customer locations throughout the United States, with travel comprising approximately 50% to 75% of the role. Candidates should possess strong communication skills, a customer-focused mindset, and a desire to continuously learn and develop technical expertise.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Assist with the installation, configuration, and deployment of network infrastructure, wireless solutions, and enterprise technology systems at customer locations.
  • Perform equipment staging, imaging, testing, and pre-configuration activities to ensure successful project implementation.
  • Travel nationwide to customer sites to support installations, upgrades, troubleshooting, and scheduled maintenance activities.
  • Work directly alongside Senior Engineers during both onsite and remote project deployments.
  • Provide technical support and basic troubleshooting for networking, wireless, and security-related technologies.
  • Interact directly with customers, providing professional service and maintaining excellent client relationships.
  • Conduct onsite surveys, assessments, and data collection required for project planning.
  • Document installation activities, service work performed, and project progress accurately and thoroughly.
  • Assist in preparing site reports, project documentation, and customer-facing deliverables.
  • Manage assigned tasks, maintain strict project schedules, and meet quality standards.
  • Communicate project status, potential risks, and technical issues clearly to Senior Engineers and project managers.
  • Utilize testing and diagnostic equipment to verify system functionality and performance.
  • Follow company safety procedures, customer site protocols, and industry best practices.
  • Maintain company-issued tools, equipment, and technology assets in proper working condition.
  • Participate in manufacturer, vendor, and internal training programs to expand your technical knowledge and earn certifications.
  • Support both onsite and remote service activities via phone, internet-based tools, and collaboration platforms.
