What are you going to do? The Production Planner plays a key role in coordinating and optimizing manufacturing operations by developing production plans, managing production orders and Bills of Materials (BOMs), and ensuring materials, tooling, and documentation are available to support on-time delivery. This position partners closely with production, purchasing, warehouse, and project teams to balance demand, improve efficiency, resolve operational challenges, and support continuous improvement initiatives across the organization. Key Responsibilities Plan and coordinate production schedules to meet customer demand and delivery targets.

Create and manage production orders, projects, BOMs, and routings.

Prepare and distribute production documentation, including drawings, schematics, and work instructions.

Procure materials and tooling needed to support manufacturing and assembly operations.

Collaborate with production, purchasing, warehouse, and project teams to resolve technical and operational issues.

Estimate labor hours, material costs, and resource requirements for production activities.

Maintain and update technical documentation, BOMs, and manufacturing data.

Manage returned or defective materials and support waste reduction efforts.

Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency, quality, and productivity.

Develop reports, dashboards, and analytics to support operational planning and decision-making

Requirements Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Technology, or a related technical field is required.

Associate’s degree in a technical discipline may be accepted with equivalent experience in manufacturing engineering or production support. 3+ years of experience in a manufacturing, mechanical design, or production engineering environment is preferred.

Experience working with ERP systems SAP and production planning tools such as Rob-Ex.

Proficiency with 3D CAD programs as e.g. SolidEdge or E-Plan is an advantage.
