Your qualifications: MSc electrical engineering, computer science, mechatronics or similar Experience of the development of embedded software systems Some insight of Configuration Management and Change Management is good Previous experience of documenting/releasing SW within Volvo AB is highly appreciated Fluent in English, both written and spoken. If yes, you now have the opportunity to join our department, Systems Engineering within Electrical and Software Architecture, taking responsibility for the development and release of a consistent embedded system. Within Systems Engineering, the group System Information Management has a special responsibility to ensure appropriate product documentation, for the embedded system, along the product life cycle. Our team of system engineers, configuration managers and release managers works across several functions, sites and brands, and with engineers from many different areas within our global development organization.

We are now looking for an EE Software System Configuration/Release Manager, to strengthen the Release Management Team and activities within the group. This work is fast, furious and fun!

Position Description As a Configuration/Release Manager the core activities will be: Support and visualize the planning of SW system integration/release baselines in terms of time and content Define SW system integration/release baselines (Tool: SW Configurator) according to incremental plans, special requests and the SW delivery time Prepare basis for the release decision and documentation, in the shape of release notes, verification results, etc. to provide smooth handling in appropriate forums like Release Board Interface to and support stakeholders of the integrations/releases such as System verification (I&V), Field test (FVV), assembly factories (GTO) and aftermarket (AMT) Interact with the function and SW delivering teams to provide visibility on plans and scope as well as to support Ensure the product documentation quality at System as well as SW level for the releases We have an increased expectation on us that we should be able to coach and guide the teams delivering and releasing the individual ECU SWs. Thus, in the role it is expected that you will develop instructions, guidelines and trainings as well as provide trainings and hands-on support when needed. You will have very good insight of product documentation in especially the SW Configurator, but also KOLA, JIRA and other tools.
