This is Project Management & Vehicle Architecture Through strong technical leadership, we lead the development of complete vehicles for Volvo Trucks and are accountable for the engineering deliverables in FH/FM/FMX and multi-brand product pre-studies and projects. We are a high performing, professional team of project and requirement managers, product structure specialists and architects.
Main responsibilities The PME Local Sourcing will cooperate closely with the local purchasing organization (GTP) in order to find suitable local suppliers that are able to produce parts to the local production. Close Cooperation with Group Trucks Technology (GTT) will be an important part in finding the best possible solutions. Frequent travelling to the local markets will be required, approximately 50% of the working time, and Russia will be a prioritized market to support.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following main activities and deliveries, in line with agreed product QDCF targets: Lead the Vehicle Engineering deliveries in the Local Sourcing projects and secure product QDCF targets In corporation with GTP identify and evaluate possible product content to be produced locally Together with GTP visit and evaluate potential suppliers Manage the project deliverables as defined by the PGT process Manage the total project cost for Vehicle Engineering Create and manage the L2 vehicle project time plans The PME-V reports to the CPM in the project dimension and thus represents the engineering functions in the Project Management Team (PMT)
