Accountant

About the company:

Strategic Staffing Solutions customer is an international organization operating across global markets, is looking for an Accountant to join their General Ledger team in Vilnius.

In this position, you will be responsible for ensuring accurate and timely accounting transactions while supporting period-end activities, reconciliations, compliance processes and internal controls. You will work closely with colleagues across different locations and functions in an international environment.

Key responsibilities:

Manage general ledger transactions and ensure accurate accounting records and documentation. Reconcile balance sheet accounts and support period-end closing activities. Assist with VAT, corporate tax, withholding tax, statutory reporting and audit requirements. Perform internal controls and fixed asset accounting, including depreciation, additions and disposals. Review work completed by junior team members and respond to accounting-related queries. Support process improvements and maintain accounting procedures and documentation. Collaborate with finance teams across different locations and functions.

Requirements:

Around 2 years of relevant accounting experience. Degree in Accounting, Economics, Finance or a related field. Good understanding of accounting processes. Experience with SAP or other accounting systems. Strong English communication skills. Good analytical, problem-solving and teamwork skills.
