You will serve as a FACILITY SERVICES ASSISTANT (OA) in the PUBLIC WORKS DIVISION of MCAS BEAUFORT SC. This is a RE-ADVERTISEMENT of Announcement Number: ST-13054497-26-NBH. Applicants that have previously applied NEED to re-apply to this announcement.

Major duties

  • You will oversee and manage the screening, classification, and recording of all incoming work requests for all of the organizations/departments, units which number approximately 8,000+ annually.
  • You will maintain status on all work by preparing repeated automated reports and correspondence.
  • You will prepare correspondence and reports to customers and management relative to work request status, shop loading, work variances, and job status.
  • You will maintain automated and centralized facility history , controlled files, and the preparation of maintenance reports and work programs.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-6 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Assisting in the maintenance of record keeping, correspondence, work order tracking, and facilities repair using automated computer systems and customer coordination.
