We are seeking a motivated Business Development Manager to join our team to engage with customers and follow the AV process to deliver world class AV Solutions.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities Provide pre-sale and post-sale support to AV Department and Customers

Obtain a thorough Needs Assessment

Determine customer needs

Complete an onsite Needs Assessment survey

Complete and review the Scope of Work that provides the desired solution

Provide support to the Project

Attend Customer meetings to help determine needs

Effectively demonstrate new AV products to customers

Assist with company functions and special events

Research and Development

Work with Design Engineers and Systems Engineers to prove concepts and test products

Work with vendors to resolve product issues

Provide resource scheduling guidance for project management and service managers

Review scope to help determine best technical resource be assigned for new installations

Provide guidance to installation managers and customers

Assist with Customer Qualification

Review plans of similar scope and budget to help qualify sale

Provide support to the project - working with internal and external resources

Reporting and Communication

Maintain current information about the project in Connectwise and/or NetSuite

Review project estimates for accuracy

Maintain all pertinent documents in SharePoint

Meet performance standards of the department

Contribute to and plan to meet GP Targets for the Fiscal Year

Competencies and Skills Ability to interpret building blueprints, technical procedures and governmental regulations

Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and develop procedure manuals

Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers and the general public

Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, proportions, percentages, area, circumference and volume

Ability to apply basic geometry and algebra skills

Ability to communicate in a clear and positive manner

Knowledge, Education and Skills Bachelor's degree from a four-year university; two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience in Professional AV Systems engineering, technical theater, live events and/or design.

Knowledge of ConnectWise, NetSuite, MS Office Suite and D-Tools a plus

Valid driver's license

CTS Certification, or willingness to obtain
