Sales & Partnership Manager

Permanent Based in London NW6 (office based) £70,000 - £80,000 per annum Ref: TA8955

Tony Alan Recruitment currently has an exciting job opportunity for a Sales & Partnership Manager to join an established Fintech business in the NW London area on a permanent basis.

This is a pivotal role in leading the broker sales activity and developing strategic partnerships with introducers including key brokers and other financial organisations which have potential to refer business.

This role includes the day-to-day management of the Business Development Executives instilling a disciplined, well-organised approach to sales activity and pipeline management. You'll ensure targets are set, clearly communicated and monitored, that Salesforce is accurately maintained, and that the team is consistently following up on leads with introducers. You'll bring structure and rigour to sales management activity whilst supporting the ongoing development of the people in the Business Development team.

Your duties will include:

  • Own the day-to-day running of the sales team in the London office, providing structured, visible leadership to the SME BDEs and BDMs
  • Ensure sales targets are set for individuals and the team
  • Track performance against target throughout the month and identifying shortfalls early
  • Ensure the CRM (Salesforce) is properly and consistently populated by the team, with activity, opportunities, and pipeline data kept accurate and up to date
  • Ensure leads and calls are followed up promptly
  • Oversee a structured diary system for the team's broker contact
  • Monitor and manage field activity, ensuring BDMs are making broker visits they're expected to make
  • Run regular activity reviews (calls, meetings, trips, pipeline movement)
  • Represent the business at industry, networking and professional body events
  • Identify key partners suitable for a strategic relationship
  • Onboard partners effectively, agreeing introducer terms (working with Compliance and Legal as needed) and providing training
  • Track partnership performance and implement actions plans
  • Ensure good-quality, timely reporting is produced from Salesforce dashboards
  • Provide reliable reporting on sales performance, trends, and risks
  • Line manage the BDEs and support CCO in management of BDMs
  • Performance development of the team, identifying training needs and helping individuals progress in their roles
  • Lead team meetings, share updates on targets, pipeline, and priorities, and foster a positive, high-performance sales culture
  • Identify opportunities to improve sales processes and activity management
  • Work closely with Operations and Credit to ensure a smooth handover of deals from origination through to completion
  • Work with key departments to improve processes and -systems to support partnership development including referral tracking and conversion

Key requirements:

  • You must have a financial services background
  • Proven track record of achieving targets
  • Experience managing and motivating a sales team
  • Ability to develop and improve team performance
  • Strong influencing and relationship-building skills
  • Confident handling commercial discussions
  • Able to identify and pursue growth opportunities
  • Comfortable using KPIs, CRM and sales data
