RoleSummary :
Reportingto the Finance Manager, the Accountant role plays a keyrole in supporting the day-to-day finance operations of TOMRA Singapore. Thisrole is responsible for ensuring the accurate and timely execution ofaccounting, reporting, payment, and compliance activities while supporting agrowing business in a dynamic start-up environment.
Thesuccessful candidate will work closely with internal stakeholders, externalpartners, and TOMRA's regional finance teams to maintain smooth financeoperations, support financial reporting requirements, and contribute tocontinuous process improvements.
Your Responsibilities
Financial Operations & Accounting
- Manage day-to-day accounts payable (AP) andaccounts receivable (AR) activities, including invoice processing, paymentpreparation, collections, and follow-up.
- Prepare and process supplier payments, employeeclaims, and banking transactions accurately and timely.
- Perform bank reconciliations, balance sheetreconciliations, and general ledger maintenance.
- Support month-end and year-end closing activities,including journal entries, accruals, and reconciliations.
- Maintain accurate accounting records and ensuresupporting documentation is properly filed and retained.
Reporting & Compliance
- Assist in preparing monthly financial reports,schedules, and supporting analysis for management and regional finance teams.
- Support statutory reporting, GST submissions,tax-related filings, and compliance activities.
- Assist with external audits and liaise withauditors, tax advisors, and service providers when required.
- Ensure compliance with TOMRA finance policies,accounting standards, and internal control requirements.
Finance Administration & Business Support
- Support payroll processing and related financeadministration activities.
- Coordinate with business teams on invoicing,customer billing, vendor management, and finance-related queries.
- Assist in cash flow monitoring and working capitalmanagement activities.
- Support insurance administration, contractadministration, and other finance-related operational matters as required.
Process Improvement & Systems Support
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of financeprocesses, controls, and workflows.
- Support ERP system maintenance, data accuracy, andprocess optimization initiatives.
- Participate in finance projects, systemenhancements, and other improvement activities led by the Finance Manager.
- Support ad-hoc finance and administrative tasks asrequired.
Qualifications
Your profile
- Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or arelated discipline.
- Minimum 3 years of relevant accounting or finance operations experience.
- Solid understanding of accounts payable, accounts receivable, generalledger accounting, and month-end closing activities.
- Familiarity with Singapore accounting practices, GST, and statutoryreporting requirements.
- Experience working with ERP systems; IFS experience is an advantage.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and good knowledge of MicrosoftOffice applications.
- Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and organizational skills.
- Hands-on, proactive, and comfortable working in a growing and fast-pacedenvironment.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills with the abilityto collaborate across functions.
- Fluent in English, both written and spoken.
