Skills and qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in music education or a related field (minimum requirement)

At least 2 years of teaching experience in an elementary school setting

Strong knowledge of music theory, instruments, vocal techniques, and general musicianship appropriate for young learners

Ability to design engaging lesson plans aligned with the Common Core standards

Excellent classroom management skills with the ability to motivate and inspire students

Effective communication skills for working collaboratively with colleagues, parents, and students
