Music & Performing Arts Teaching Intern – Creative Hearts

Love music, performing and working with children?

Creative Hearts – Centre for Performing Arts is looking for a Music & Performing Arts Teaching Intern to join our team!

This is a hands-on internship for someone who would love to gain real experience in music education, early childhood music and performing arts teaching.

You’ll get to:

• Assist with our music, singing and musical theatre classes
• Support and co-teach our holiday camps
• Learn how to engage and teach young children through music and play
• Help prepare teaching materials, games, props and activities
• Assist with concerts, showcases and performances
• Observe and learn from experienced music and performing arts teachers
• Gradually take on teaching and make-up classes where appropriate
• Gain experience in lesson planning and curriculum development

We’re looking for someone who:

• Loves working with children
• Has a background in music, singing, piano, musical theatre, early childhood or performing arts
• Is warm, energetic, responsible and confident
• Is willing to learn and get involved
• Can commit for at least 3-4 months
• Bonus if you can play the piano and/or sing!

Strong interns may also be considered for future teaching opportunities with Creative Hearts.
