Math Teacher-IGCSE

Deliver the courses assigned to the Employee and plan, organise, prepare and instruct according to the requirements of the British curriculum;

Assist with the supervision of students as required or as otherwise determined by the School’s Principal;

If required, cover, teach some support classes or other courses assigned by the Principal;

Develop approved annual course overview plans based upon the relevant parts of the British National Curriculum and Programs of study and core competencies as well as a variety of teaching strategies/learning activities, student assessment methods linked to the core competencies;

Develop detailed lesson plans and provide quality teaching to students;

Manage classrooms effectively, maintain good student discipline; support the discipline standards and rules of the School;

Respect the values, cultural differences and expectations of the students, parents, colleagues and staff members;

Be a good role model and demonstrate high moral standards for students at all times, conduct himself/herself appropriately both professionally and personally at the School and within the community, as fitting for an employee at an academic-oriented private School in Egypt;

Comply with the School’s expectations and policies regarding professional appearance, hygiene and dress and not suffer from health or physical, mental or emotional challenges or problems;

Make a strong contribution to the School’s extracurricular program and be prepared to assist and participate in other School activities and attend after School and weekend School functions;

Be flexible in meeting the School’s changing requirements as conditions may dictate over time;

Undertake such other assignments and responsibilities as assigned by the School’s Principal based on the School’s requirements (without changing any of the rights or obligations of the parties hereunder), provided that in such case the Employee shall be consulted;

In all respects, conform to and comply with all rules, directions and policies of the School;

Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Engineering, or Education with a math major.

Valid teaching credentials such as a Post Graduate Certificate in Education (PGCE), Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is preferred

Minimum 2–3 years of experience teaching Cambridge (CIE) or IGCSE Mathematics

Prior experience or capability to teach A-Level / AS-Level Pure Math, Mechanics, and Statistics.

High fluency in English
