Disaster Recovery Expert

Key responsibilities:

Develop and maintain disaster recovery strategies, plans, procedures, and recovery runbooks.

Define and maintain RTO/RPO for critical systems.

Lead disaster recovery drills, simulations, failover/failback, and recovery testing.

Coordinate with infrastructure, network, cybersecurity, application, database, cloud, and business teams.

Ensure disaster recovery environments, backup, replication, high availability, and recovery capabilities are operational and compliant.

Conduct risk assessments, business impact analysis, and root-cause analysis for disaster recovery issues.

Ensure alignment with banking regulations, audit requirements, and IT governance.

Manage disaster recovery vendors and provide regular readiness and risk reports to management.

Lead and mentor disaster recovery and technical teams.

Requirements:

5+ years in disaster recovery, IT resilience, infrastructure, or business continuity.

Mandatory banking experience.

Previous lead or supervisor experience preferred.

Strong knowledge of disaster recovery architecture, data centers, cloud, virtualization, backup, replication, and high availability.

Bachelor’s degree in IT, computer science, engineering, or related field.
