*Job description:*

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance individual to join our team. This is an excellent position for someone who is semi-retired or can work part time. The schedule per week can vary but is 2-3 per week. There is the possibility to work more than this per week if the employee is willing to also work on production tasks. The job entails:

  • Most importantly: work safely in compliance with company standards and ensure all work is completed according to safety procedures.
  • Perform preventative maintenance and diagnostics on various hand tools, welders, lighting fixtures, building maintenance etc.
  • Document repairs and diagnose problems.
  • Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic issues using schematics, technical manuals, and analytical skills.
  • Inspections on stationary equipment. (Greasing, oil changes, minor repairs)
  • Occasional part sourcing.
  • Perform maintenance on various production equipment.
  • Observing & listening to mechanical devices in operation to assess root cause of maintenance issue(s).
  • Perform preventive maintenance.
  • Identify and report any potential hazards.
  • Comply with all Health and Safety protocols.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for repairing and maintaining production equipment and building function. This role requires a diverse skillset and knowledge in various repair procedures.

We are looking for people with good character, independent hard workers, and fast learners. This is a great opportunity for someone with experience in maintenance who is looking to contribute their skills to a dynamic working environment. The candidate will work closely with our entire facility and Manufacturing Manager & staff to complete maintenance jobs & keep production flowing.

Qualifications:

  • You have a minimum of 5 years work experience & good knowledge of manufacturing equipment.
  • You have a minimum of high school or technical school education.
  • You must have proficiency using calipers, tape measures, angle finders and other measurement tools.
  • You are a team player and team building skills.
  • You have excellent negotiation, organization, reporting and English language skills required (verbal and written).
  • You have excellent follow-up skills and reliability.
  • Some computer literacy is an asset
  • You are organized and good at time management.
  • Paint line work is considered another asset.

Working Conditions:

  • 2 ? 3 days work week, Monday to Friday. (Can be flexible & production work added to make full time position)
  • PPE and CSA-approved steel-toe boots required in the Plant.
  • Additional hours may be required and pre-approved to accommodate demands. This will be arranged by your supervisor.
