Location: Maidenhead Salary: £26,760.89 per annum Hours: Monday to Friday, 7:30am – 4:00pm Job Type: Temporary to Permanent

We are recruiting for a Repair Technician to join a busy workshop in Maidenhead. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys working with their hands, solving problems and taking pride in producing high-quality work.
The Role
As a Repair Technician, you will assess and repair luggage, ensuring every item is handled to a high standard and in line with the required manufacturer specifications.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Assessing luggage to determine the appropriate repair required
- Identifying whether items can be repaired or should be replaced
- Carrying out repairs using approved methods and genuine parts
- Using your sewing skills as part of the repair process
- Identifying when replacement parts are required
- Completing repairs once parts become available
- Maintaining accurate repair records
- Ensuring repairs meet quality and customer service standards
- Working closely with colleagues in a busy workshop environment
- Following company procedures, including health & safety and data protection requirements
About You
We are looking for someone who is practical, reliable and has excellent attention to detail.
You will ideally have:
- Sewing experience – essential
- Previous experience in a workshop, engineering, technical repair or similar hands-on environment – desirable
- Good written and spoken English
- The ability to work accurately and methodically
- Good problem-solving skills
- Basic Microsoft Office skills – desirable
- The ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
- A genuine interest in repairing and restoring items to a high standard
