Site engineer
We are seeking an experienced Site Engineer to support the planning, coordination and execution of our construction projects in Singapore.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist the Project Manager in planning, coordinating and supervising daily civil and structural construction activities.
- Review construction drawings and specifications, identify discrepancies, and coordinate technical clarifications with consultants and the project team.
- Coordinate with subcontractors, site supervisors and suppliers to ensure that manpower, materials and equipment are available to meet the construction schedule.
- Monitor site progress, maintain site records and prepare progress reports, highlighting potential delays and recommending corrective actions.
- Coordinate site inspections with consultants and the quality assurance team, verify that works comply with approved drawings and specifications, and follow up on rectification works.
- Assist in preparing method statements, technical submissions, requests for information and inspection requests.
- Work with the safety team and subcontractors to ensure that construction activities follow approved work procedures and site safety requirements.
Requirements
- Diploma or Degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering or a related discipline.
- Minimum 3 years of relevant site engineering experience in the construction industry.
- Experience with Singapore construction projects is preferred.
- Good understanding of construction drawings, civil and structural works, construction sequencing and quality control.
- Familiarity with AutoCAD and Microsoft Office.
- Strong coordination, communication and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently and meet project deadlines.
- Willing to work on construction sites.
- Proficiency in Mandarin would be an advantage to facilitate work-related communication with Mandarin-speaking project team members and subcontractors.
