Education:

Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.

Work site environment:

Fruit and vegetable combination farming. Hot. Outdoors. Work setting: Staff accommodation provided.

Tasks:

• Cut agricultural crops.
• Direct agricultural crops deleafing activities.
• Mixing fertilizer.
• Organize tasks to accomplish the work.
• Train trees to produce more fruit of higher quality.
• Co-ordinate and supervise the work of general farm workers and harvesting labourers.
• Ensure farm safety and bio-security procedures are followed.
• Maintain quality control and production records.
• Supervise and oversee growing and other crop-related operations.
• Operate and maintain farm machinery and equipment.
• Perform general farm duties.

Supervision:

5-10 people.

Type of crops:

• Blueberries.
• Raspberries.

Equipment and machinery experience:

• Feeding and watering system.
• Sprayer or duster.
• Tractor.

Work conditions and physical capabilities:

Physically demanding. Combination of sitting, standing, walking.

Personal suitability:

• Excellent oral communication.
