Financial Controller

About the Job Sian Chay Medical Institution (SCMI), established in 1901, is a social service agency providing free Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) consultation and affordable treatment across 14 branches in Singapore. We are committed to supporting community health and helping patients in need. Role Description We are looking for a Financial Controller to oversee SCMI’s financial operations, including accounting, financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management, and compliance. The role will provide financial analysis and support management decision-making, strengthen internal controls and processes, oversee grant and donation reporting, and supervise the finance team to ensure transparency and financial sustainability. Qualifications Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; ACCA/CPA/CA is preferred.

Strong experience in accounting, financial reporting, budgeting, and cost control.

Good analytical skills with experience in variance analysis and financial planning.

Familiarity with accounting standards, compliance, and internal controls.

Experience with grant and donation accounting is preferred.

Proficient in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.

Strong attention to detail, integrity, communication, and teamwork.

Strong knowledge of investment management and financial planning.

Good knowledge of GST, tax compliance, and relevant Singapore regulations.
