Wall Centre Hotels is seeking a dynamic and results-driven Procurement Manager to lead the purchasing and procurement operations across our two award-winning hotels. The successful candidate will bring a high level of accountability, initiative and leadership while partnering with departments across the organization to ensure our procurement processes are efficient, compliant and aligned with the needs of our business.
*What your day will look like:*
- Develop and implement procurement strategies that align with Wall Centre?s operational, financial and long-term business objectives.
- Monitor inventory levels and purchasing trends, and work with department leaders to optimize stock levels while minimizing waste and carrying costs.
- Develop, implement and maintain procurement policies, approval processes and purchasing standards that ensure transparency, accountability and compliance across all Wall Financial hotels.
- Maintain supplier agreements, monitor contract performance, renewal dates and service levels, ensuring vendors meet contractual obligations and organizational expectations.
- Partner with Operations and Engineering on renovation projects, Furniture, Fixtures, and Equipment (FF&E) purchases and capital expenditures, ensuring competitive pricing and timely delivery.
- Build strong relationships with department leaders to ensure purchasing supports operational requirements while balancing service, quality and cost.
- Identify reliable vendors; evaluate suppler performance, capabilities and pricing in alignment with the hotels? financial and sustainability goals.
- Lead all Request for Quote (RFQ), Request for Proposal (RFP) and supplier selection processes, ensuring competitive pricing, quality and service standards.
- Analyze purchasing trends, supplier spend and departmental expenditures to identify savings opportunities, improve forecasting and support budget development.
- Lead price negotiations that secure favourable terms, pricing and delivery timelines
- Diversify vendors to mitigate supply chain disruptions and develop back up continuity plans
- Ensure that procurement procedures align with the needs of the organization. Partner with Finance and Operations teams to ensure procurement policies support operating goals.
- Lead and develop the Procurement team by setting clear expectations, coaching performance, establishing standard operating procedures and fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
*Your experience and skills include:*
- Bachelor?s degree in Business Administration
- Minimum 5 years of experience in Procurement leadership, preferably in the Hospitality industry
- Key Skills: High-level negotiation, vendor management, Inventory Management, intermediate Excel skills. Knowledge of Sage Intacct.
- Strong communication and presentation skills.
- Demonstrated initiative, accountability and ability to manage competing priorities in a dynamic environment.
