Senior Procurement Engineer

On behalf of our client, we are seeking qualified candidates for the role of Senior Procurement Engineer.
Job Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement procurement strategies for assigned packages in line with project schedules and budgets.
- Prepare, issue, and evaluate Request for Quotations (RFQs), Technical Bid Evaluations (TBE), and Commercial Bid Evaluations (CBE).
- Negotiate with suppliers to achieve optimal commercial and contractual terms.
- Coordinate with engineering and QA/QC departments to ensure technical compliance of procured materials and equipment.
- Manage the full procurement cycle — from bid clarification, purchase order issuance, expediting, inspection coordination, to final delivery and documentation.
- Monitor supplier performance and ensure adherence to project specifications, delivery schedules, and quality requirements.
- Ensure all procurement activities comply with company procedures, ethics policies, and project requirements.
- Prepare regular procurement status reports and highlight critical issues or risks to management.
- Support vendor qualification, pre-award meetings, kick-off meetings, and post-award follow-ups.
- Mentor junior procurement staff and contribute to continuous process improvement initiatives.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Engineering, Procurement, or a related discipline.
- Minimum 5 years of procurement experience, preferably in EPC, engineering, energy, oil & gas, marine, construction, or industrial projects.
- Strong knowledge of procurement processes and commercial practices, including RFQ preparation, bid evaluation (technical and commercial), contract negotiation, purchase order management, and supplier performance monitoring.
- Excellent analytical, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills with the ability to coordinate effectively with engineering, QA/QC, project teams, suppliers, and subcontractors.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications and ERP/procurement systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, IFS, or equivalent), with strong reporting and data management capabilities.
